Like every year, this year also had a theme that could be seen in every design and piece of jewelry worn - " Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," meaning designs inspired by technology and the future, or at least what the designers think the future is going to look like. The main jewelry trends that were present on the 2016 Met Gala red carpet were; diamonds, iconic New York jewelers and vintage or vintage-themed jewels.
