Using an empty cup chain by meter is just great for making many jewelry items, in any size or length you choose.
This is an example for using a small part of cup chain as a centerpiece in a bracelet that is wrapped around the wrist 3 times.
There can be made endless versions for this basic bracelet, this tutorial is here to show you how it is done, and you can go about creating your own beautiful bracelets.
These are all the components needed for making this kind of bracelet:
Ingrediants:
1 meter of empty cup chain bracelet
12X12mm square & 29ss stone settings
43cm of 6mm Round loop chain
1 pendent, for hanging on the bracelet
2 end loops for jewelry cup chain
1 clasp
5cm of extension chain
A few 5mm jump rings
Tools:
Cutting tool
2 plier tools
1 prong pusher for embedding
Start by using the cutting tool and cut a small part of cup chain that will be the centerpiece of the bracelet.
Hold the cutting tool and cup chain with both hands, in a position that will protect your eyes from any metal parts.
Insert the end loop to the small hole in the last stone setting using the plier tool.
Use the cutting tool to pinch the end loop closest to the hole, so it will not stay in its original square shape.
Now the end loop is locked in the stone setting and can't get out!
The cup chain is ready with it's loops on the sides and can be connected to the chain on each side.
Cut the 42cm round loop chain into 2 equal parts.
Open the 5mm jump rings with the help of two plier tools and use it to connect the chains on each side of the cup chain.
Connect the clasp on one side and the extension chain on the other side, to close the bracelet.
Use the 5mm jump ring and hang the pendant on the chain, next to the cup chain.
This bracelet will look great with a dangling pendent and a sparkly crystal on it!
As you can see this bracelet is quite easy and fast to make, and can be created in many different ways.
When using different plating colors, cup chain bases, chains and crystals you can create different looks to this bracelet!
Good luck creating!
